Potter and clay

It is very hard to be the clay sometimes, some people know that I have aquired a second job. I am working at UPS in the evenings loading airplanes.
It is very hard to swallow your pride to do things that you know you should have actually done awhile ago. How does this have to do with clay? We are the clay not the potter, God is the one that moulds and makes what He wants to make.
I am in the process of reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and it is very hard to put down to get other things done. In book four chapter one, "Making and Begetting" Mr. Lewis puts the position of Jesus Christ in the God head in a clear definition.

"We dont use the words begetting or begotten much in modern English, but everyone still knows what they mean. To beget is to become the father of: to create is to make. And the difference is this. When you beget, you beget something of the same kind as yourself. A man begets human babies, a beaver begets little beavers and a bird begets eggs which turn into little birds. But when you make, you make something of a different kind from yourself. A bird makes a nest, a beaver builds a dam, a man makes a wireless set-or he may make something more like himself than a wireless set: say, a statue. If he is a cleaver enough carver he may make a statue which is very like a man indeed. But, of course, it is not a real man; it only looks like one. It cannot breathe or think. It is not alive."

"This world is a great sculptor's shop. We are the statues and there is a rumour going round the shop that some of us are some day going to come to life." C.S. Lewis

I am not the work of my own doing but that of my Father in Heaven. I will never understand His ways but I must understand that He has my best interests at the very core of His being. Because, I am His creation. He is proud of me.

Congrats on your new job. Why are you having to swallow your pride? You are taking care of your family, you should be proud of that! Your boys are seeing a strong dad who does what it takes to make sure they have food to eat & mom is able to stay home, so they don't have to "do daycare." You are an amazing father & you're just doing what it takes. I love you!

Why is she always able to say what I am thinking? She says it much better than I would have, but I agree with her 100%.

We are so proud of you, and also think you are an amazing dad and husband!

We love you.
